Mary Evelyn "Evie" Walmsley

Wonderful person and prize winning Mom with a great outlook on life,
always had a smile and kind word.
We use to call her the Edith Bunker of the neighborhood.
She's reunited with her 'Jack' now and serving Tanqueray and Tonics to everyone.
So Happy to have known her...

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your precious mother/grandmother/great-grandmother, Evelyn. She was one of the sweetest women I have ever known. Your Mom and I were in a Holy Trinity Mother's Club production when I was about 12 years old. I was a little nervous about being on the stage. Your Mom was the precious lady who took the time to talk to me to calm me down. I NEVER forgot that experience and I have always carried her in my heart. Heaven has indeed received a precious gift. Your Dad,Gus, and God's Celestial Committee will welcome her with open arms. Love and prayers, Kathy Matuszek Martin Menard

My sincere sympathy on the passing of your Mom -- always a pleasant lady with a wonderful smile -- from Holy Trinity days to chatting at Wilfred Manor when I visited my husband's sister who lived on the same floor. May your many happy memories bring you comfort during this sad time.
Shirley Moon Lemay

Always remember Evie from times visiting family on Bagley Street and her many kindnesses to my Aunt Colleen.
Peggy Conroy Quinn (Lincoln)

Evie and my father, Bob Hedenus, were cousins through the marriage of Evie's Aunt Irene Butler to Frank Hedenus. I know Evie and my parents loved each other so much and saw each other as often as possible. I remember Evie and Jack and the family gathering at my grandparents house in Rhode Island; but I was just a kid then. In later years Evie sometimes travelled with my parents; and on occasion they came to North Carolina to visit me, my husband, and two children. We would sit on our deck and laugh and have a good time visiting. I was very fond of Evie and even my children remember her as smiling and being so very nice. She will live on in my memory. Love, Gail Hedenus Connor
